Complaints Procedure

At Corpinal IP Limited, we are committed to providing a professional, efficient and high-quality service. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service or our fees, we encourage you to tell us so that we have the opportunity to investigate your concerns and, where appropriate, resolve them promptly, fairly and transparently.

We are committed to dealing with complaints in accordance with our professional obligations and to using client feedback to continually improve our services.

1. Making a Complaint

If you wish to make a complaint, please contact us by:

Email: info@corpinalip.co.uk
Telephone: +44 20 3488 2496
or by writing to our registered office.

Where possible, complaints should be submitted in writing to assist us in investigating and responding to the issues raised.

To help us investigate your complaint efficiently, please provide:

•  your name and contact details;
•  your Matter or reference number (if available);
•  details of your complaint; and
•  the outcome you are seeking.

2. Acknowledgement

If your complaint is submitted by email, we will acknowledge receipt as soon as reasonably practicable and normally within five Business Days.

If your complaint is submitted by post, we will acknowledge receipt as soon as reasonably practicable following its delivery and receipt by us.

Where appropriate, we may request further information to assist our investigation.

3. Investigation

Your complaint will be investigated carefully, fairly and objectively.

Where reasonably practicable, your complaint will be reviewed by a person who was not directly responsible for the work giving rise to the complaint.

During our investigation, we may:

•  review the relevant file and correspondence;
•  discuss the Matter with those involved;
•  request additional information from you; and
•  consider whether any further action or remedial steps are appropriate.

4. Our Response

We aim to provide our substantive written response within 28 days of acknowledging your complaint.

If we are unable to do so, we will explain the reason for the delay and provide an updated timescale.

Our response will explain:

•  our findings;
•  whether your complaint has been upheld, wholly or partly;
•  any action we propose to take; and
•  any appropriate remedy, where applicable.

5. If You Remain Dissatisfied

If you remain dissatisfied after receiving our final written response, or if we have not resolved your complaint within eight weeks of receiving it, you may be entitled to refer your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman, provided you are eligible under its Scheme Rules.

The Legal Ombudsman considers complaints about the standard of service provided by authorised legal service providers.

Further information, including eligibility criteria and details of how to make a complaint, is available at:

If your complaint relates to legal services provided by, or under the supervision of, Nitin Agarwal, Chartered Trade Mark Attorney, you may also contact the Intellectual Property Regulation Board (IPReg) regarding concerns about professional conduct.

IPReg generally considers complaints relating to professional conduct or regulatory matters rather than complaints about the quality of service or fees.

6. Continuous Improvement

We value feedback from our clients and treat complaints as an opportunity to improve our services.

Complaints are reviewed periodically to identify opportunities to improve our procedures, communication and overall client experience.

7. Your Rights

Making a complaint under this procedure will not affect any legal rights or remedies that may be available to you.
